Project Waka

Achieving Success with Project Waka: A Comprehensive Overview

Project Waka was a monumental endeavor conducted within a high-rise building situated in the Auckland Central Business District. This ambitious project demanded a wide spectrum of services and customized solutions to ensure its successful execution. Our contributions included:

Refurbishment Survey: We meticulously conducted a refurbishment survey of the building, aligning it with the demolition scope provided by the client.

Asbestos Removal Specification: Crafting the asbestos removal specification was a critical step. This document served as the foundation for the tender package, enabling our client to solicit and evaluate quotes from potential contractors.

Project Management: We assumed the role of the primary point of contact for our client, overseeing and managing the asbestos removal works to streamline communication and project execution.

Licensed Assessor Services: Throughout the project's duration, we provided licensed assessor services to ensure compliance and safety standards were upheld.

Safe Handover: Upon project completion, we ensured the building was safe for re-occupation, prioritizing the well-being of all occupants.

Asbestos Management Plan: We developed a comprehensive Asbestos Management Plan and implemented ongoing asbestos management using an online asbestos register portal linked to a QR code system.

Contractor Training: Before commencing work on-site, contractors underwent training in accordance with the Asbestos Management Plan to guarantee safety and compliance.

Project Waka exemplifies our expertise and versatility in delivering top-notch services. Managing numerous stakeholders and contractors necessitated meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that asbestos records were accessible and comprehensible to all parties involved.

We relished the diversity and challenges that Project Waka presented, further demonstrating our commitment to excellence in asbestos consultancy and project management.
